Responsible for all crossmedia initiatives of free newspaper DAG. I'm responsible for the team (13 people) that creates the content for the website, mobile and crossmedia content in the newspaper. I'm also partly rsponsible for traffic and advertising targets. Apart from the site of the DAG brand, I'm also responsible for the content of Planet.nl and HetNet.nl (large Dutch news sites), I have als aquired these customers. |

'Trouw in de buurt' is a localised newssite. It plots news from over 200 sources on Google Maps and allows users to submit their own news. The project earns money by advertising and referrals. It is a private project that we managed to sell to national newspaper Trouw. |

Main tasks include advising board of directors and chief
editors on strategic issues, being a consultant for internal departments,
product development and monitoring competitors. The main focus is on increasing
profitability by streamlining current operations and developing initiatives
for additional turnover. My personal focus is on multimedia initiatives. Examples are SEO programs for Volkskrant.nl, being a member of the project team of free daily Dag and creating the multimedia strategy of PCM Uitgevers. |
